Ingredients

Method

  1. Chop the green apple into cubes and put in a saucepan. Add the granulated sugar, honey, lemon juice, and black pepper and cook on medium to low heat for 20-30 minutes while stirring occasionally. You should reach a jam-like texture.
  2. Allow to cool down and transfer the apple chutney to a glass jar. Chill for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Toast the soft bread slices. Spread peanut butter on 2 slices and the green apple chutney on the other 2 slices.
  4. Layer thinly slices apple on top and serve. Sprinkle with other fruits and nuts as desired.
