Peanut butter & Cripps Apple Chutney Sandwich

About

Crispy Cripps Pink apples from the USA's top fruit producer, Washington Apples, add an healthy kick at snack time

Ingredients

280g Washington Apples
2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
4 tbsp Honey
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
4 tbsp Peanut Butter
4 slices Soft Bread

Method

Chop the green apple into cubes and put in a saucepan. Add the granulated sugar, honey, lemon juice, and black pepper and cook on medium to low heat for 20-30 minutes while stirring occasionally. You should reach a jam-like texture.
Allow to cool down and transfer the apple chutney to a glass jar. Chill for at least 20 minutes.
Toast the soft bread slices. Spread peanut butter on 2 slices and the green apple chutney on the other 2 slices.
Layer thinly slices apple on top and serve. Sprinkle with other fruits and nuts as desired.
