  1. Lay out the peanuts on a flat baking tray and roast for around 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
  2. Place nuts, salt and oil in a heavy duty blender (Kate uses the Kenwood Magimix) and blend for 10 minutes, occasionally stopping the machine to remove the part-blended mixture from the sides and placing back into the bottom of the machine.
  3. Don’t be concerned if it goes ‘gloopy’ as this is part of the process. After 10 minutes you’ll feel the sides of the machine get hot, due to a chemical reaction taking place. This signals you are done. Stir and spread!
