A fun festive way to start the day, or a sweet afternoon snack


Ingredients

Method

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl.
  2. Crack the eggs into the flour and mix gently.
  3. Slowly add milk, mixing thoroughly as you go.
  4. When all the milk is added, mix thoroughly with a hand-held or electric mixer to get rid of lumps.
  5. Heat a large frying pan on medium heat with a little vegetable oil.
  6. Pour enough batter into the pan to cover the base.
  7. Cook until the surface bubbles then turn.
  8. When the bottom of pancake is golden brown, remove from heat and set aside.
  9. Cook remaining pancakes the same way and cool.
  10. Carefully cut pancakes into triangles and trip the outer edge.
  11. Place each pancake triangle on a small serving plate and, using the cut-off pieces, form antlers.
  12. Spread an inch-wide layer of Nutella on the top of each pancake triangle and use the white icing to make the eyes, with a chocolate chip in the centre of each eye for the pupil. Add a raspberry for the nose.
